Here’s why we think it’s a good plan:
1200 units, at up to 13 storeys. Marrickville is in high demand and this will add to housing supply and improve affordability.
278 car spaces and 762 bike spaces, 10 mins walk Sydenham Metro station, 7 mins from shops on Marrickville Rd. Gives choice to people who prioritise active and public transport and will reduce car emissions, helping to fight climate change.
Marrickville Public School is 300 students under capacity. Increasing enrolments will get the school more resources.
Includes retail space, affordable housing and public space contributions.
Well designed and visually appealing.
This builds new homes where people want to live and where there is ample supporting infrastructure. It also sets a precedent that we can build precincts around the new Southwest Metro line that are not dominated by car storage.
